Update 1
Compared to the launch update, there is much more from a technical standpoint. You can probably tell just from starting the game, I've added a landscape texture to make it more visually pleasing. As you can see, I've created a little mountain which showcases the different landscape layers that I have included. The different layers are; Grass, Gravel and stone.
Another feature that I've added into the game is the inventory GUI. This can be toggled into view with TAB. This is very basic as I just wanted the functionality within the game. The plan is to spend more time designing later on, priority is to make the game running.
Currently, there are only two types of ores to be mined; Coal & Iron.
I've included a .zip file including the game contents. The .exe is compatible for Windows 10 (64 bit).
Here's where I'm asking for your help. If you are familiar with Unreal Engine 4, then please do help me.
The issue I ran into for the past few hours is when packaging my project, the build would fail. I couldn't pinpoint what exactly was the issue. I eventually started deleting folders within the software, after backing up, and somehow came to the conclusion that the MegaScan textures that I was used, were not compatible or something was wrong with them. I had used these high quality textures for the landscape. I replaced all these with the textures that are provided in the starter pack and tried to build in the exact same location, and it worked! I don't really know what happened, however if anyone does know of any reason do let me know. The error that was showing in the log was 'The process cannot access the file '
